Cat eye / Magnetic powder
The new nail art was “cat eyes” this look is created with magnetic powder and a magnet.
The magnetic tool that goes with the powder has one end that attracts, and the smaller end repels. Giving you the power to make a wide range of looks.
Firstly, mixing the magnetic powder with a topcoat is the start of the process. Rhi Rhi Nails It chose CND Shellac Xpress5, the trial and error were based on what mix ratio gave the correct look. Never oversaturate your gel products with additives, this will compromise its integrity.
After mixing your powder with your topcoat, paint it onto your freshly coloured nail. A darker colour is more striking but play around to see what you find. Once the coat is on, do not cure yet, let’s do magic. Place the magnet over the nail in the direction you want to either attract or repel. Give it a few seconds, good things come to those who wait.
Take away your magnet and see what you have, if you are happy with the look then cure under your UV/LED lamp. You may not be happy with the look yet, move the magnet around. The particle will go where you direct them using the magnet tool.
Worst comes to worst you can take your brush and paint it all back to start fresh.
There is no wrong look, they are all attractive, eye catching and innovative.
Lastly, end your look with a full topcoat of the nail. Then dazzle anyone who cares to look.
